Friends, by far, the best one. I’ve watched every episode five times and I still laugh. /// Friends, con mucha diferencia, la mejor. He visto cada episodio unas cinco veces y todavía me río.

The original title was “Advice, like youth, probably just wasted on the young”. I am posting this because I love the video, and the advice given he gives us. What do you think about the beauty magazines statement? Do you think he’s right? Obviously, everybody will say that it’s not true as this is a fashion blog and reading beauty magazines is part of our life. But I ask myself, why do I read beauty magazines? To be honest, I always skip the beauty pages of every magazine I read. I don’t need to know about the latest anti-age cream (even the name is horrible), the best surgeons in my city or how to lose five pounds in two weeks. The only thing I like are the make-up guides, but I even find that boring. Well, there are some good things too, advice, and everything, but the main point is far away from real beauty.
This speech was written by Mary Schmich and published in The Chicago Tribune in 1997.
