‘French chic’ labels are now in Barcelona

When I was in Barcelona for the IED fashion show (more about that soon), I visited the new fashion department of El Corte Inglés in L’illa. They’ve thought of the chicest middle-range labels, and well, the choice is astonishing. The following labels have their own space (get ready): Sandro, Maje, Manoush, Zadig & Voltaire, Love Moschino, Vanessa Bruno, Hoss Intropia, The Kooples, Maguen 11:11, Scalpers, Club Monaco,  Whistles, Les Petites, Claudie Pierlot, See by Chloé, Comptoir des Cotonniers, Paul & Joe Sister, Blugirl, Desigual, IKKS, Gant, Rebecca Taylor, Bellerose, Faith Connection, Bel Air, Sud Express, Kookai, see U soon, Stefanel, Sonia Rykiel, BCBG MaxAzria, American Vintage, Pretty Ballerinas, El Ganso, American Retro, Hakei, Ba&sh, Bdba, and M Missoni. Amazing, huh? It was like going shopping in Paris without leaving Barcelona. Two floors packed with the french labels that I love, and some of my favourite spanish brands too. The perfect mix. They asked me if I thought a certain label was missing, and the truth is that I couldn’t find any. Maybe Sessún, but who knows, maybe they have it for next season!

Now it’s the perfect time to visit it, there are good discounts because of the sales (I saw a trench by The Kooples for €165, and it was more than €300), and it’s worth having a couple of quality pieces instead of tons of lowcost that disintegrate in the washing machine. Balance is the key, isn’t it?

PS: We need it in Madrid!
