Nice places in Madrid

I’ve been using the Sony Nex-5R camera for the past few days because I participated in the Nex Photo Places app for Android, a virtual map that contains the favourite places of several bloggers. Shops, restaurants, streets… The other contributors are  Ana Antic, B a la Moda, Barcelonette, Bon Voyage, María León, El Comidista, Nada ImportaNeo2 magazine, and Viaja Blog. You’ll discover some interesting places in Madrid and Barcelona photographed with the new camera, and also navigate through all the details of the camera thanks to augmented reality. The app is free, and it’s available on Google Play.

SOME OF MY FAVOURITE PLACES IN MADRID

  Marni
I would get all the handbags. I love the colours they use, and their architectural style. The store is in 14 Jorge Juan.

Isabel Marant
I could live wearing only Isabel Marant. The boutique is also on Jorge Juan street, one o my favourite areas of Madrid, it’s a great place to walk.

Bar Tomate
The perfect restaurant to meet with friends, and with an awesome decoration, don’t miss the book-lamps. It’s in 26 Fernando ‘El Santo’.

Harina

They are famous for its cakes (the carrot cake is their greatest hit) and their cupcakes. But my favourite is the parmiggiano risotto…! There’s two restaurants in Madrid. The one in the picture is in 10 Plaza de la Independencia.

IOU

A really original concept store that I’ll post about very soon :) It’s in Jorge Juan too.

Jo Malone
The decoration of the store is inspired by the old fragrance stores, it’s really elegant. You’ll find it in 32 Lagasca.

THE CAMERA

The camera is great, it’s a mix between a compact camera and a DSLR. The body is small, but the lens (E 18-55m F3.5-5.6 OSS) are those of a DSLR (they are interchangeable). The quality of the pictures is really good, they have an amazing definition for a light camera like this. Oh, and it has WiFi connection! You can install several apps to retouch photos and upload them to the Internet.
