Nice places to visit in Paris

Last week I was in Paris for a few days and thanks to my friend Irene I discovered some new places I hadn’t visited before. The spots with the best views, nice restaurants, bookshops, museums…

This department store (64 bd Haussmann) has a great selection of fashion labels and food, but the best is the rooftop, with amazing views of the city. From the Sacre Coeur to the Opèra Garnier, including the Eiffel tower. There is a bar, the perfect place to enjoy a sunny day.LE BON MARCHÉ

This is one of the oldest department stores in Paris. It was founded in 1838, and they have the best selection of fashion labels (Chanel, Chloé, Burberry, Lanvin, Céline…), as well as a home section with a bookstore of publications about food and recipes. The central area with the stairs designed by Andrée Putman is a work of art. At 24 Rue de Sèvres.

Café/bakery in Le Bon Marché. Famous for their organic products. LA GRANDE EPICERIE

From the same owners of Le Bon Marché (it’s right around the corner, in 38 Rue de Sèvres), this gourmet megastore is a paradise for food lovers. They have everything you can imagine. Even dry flowers for cooking. Or a section with dozens of mineral water labels.

This pharmacy in 26 Rue du Four is known by every Parisian, as they have lots of cosmetics are really reduced prices. It’s always crowded, and it’s one of the must-go places for fashion editors and models. Karlie Kloss always visits this store when she’s in Paris. These are the labels they sell: Biotherm, La Roche Posay, Avène, Caudalie, Bioderma, Embryolisse, Saforelle, Roc, Anthelios, Décleor, Nuxxe, Lierac, Rene Furterer, Klorane (a shampoo label Parisians love)…

It was a sunny day and it was like being at a tropical place. It’s perfect to have a relaxed walk. My friend told me it’s where politicians and celebrities usually go jogging.

MUSÉE RODINA must. Apart from the amazing sculptures by Rodin (The Kiss, Hell Gates, Balzac, The Thinker…), the museum and the gardens are incredibly beautiful. At 79 Rue de Varenne.

Ralph Lauren’s restaurant. We didn’t have time to eat there, but it’s worth a visit.  At 173 Boulevard Saint-Germain

At Printemps. One of the best candies in the world.

COSISalads and delicious sandwiches made with focaccia bread they bake every day. Good prices, and everything is really tasty. At 54 rue de Seine.

Great brownies, nice sandwiches, and one of the best chocolate cookies I’ve ever tasted. At Rue de Buci 6

all photos by me except for Cosi’s and Toni Garrn’s
